Well my accountant is on my back again to try and get something newer than what I currently have due to tax reasons and claiming the maximum depreciation.

So it looks like I will be probably putting the FG on the market in the next coming weeks.

Just out of curiosity what would be looking at getting for it? Maybe there is a buyer on the site who is interested.. would rather sell it to someone on here than put it on carsales..

Some quick facts:

2008 FPV F6 310

Approx 62000 kms - Always Serviced at Ford.

Colour: Dash

Automatic

Sunroof

Leather

FPV Floor Mats

Factory Premium Sound, and all speakers have been replaced with MTX. Includes 2 x 12" MTX Subwoofers in custom enclosure built into boot.

Foose 20" Rims + Original FPV rims (no tyres)

GFB Blow Off Valve

Tuned by Autotech Engineering (Performance Tune) over 310kw at the wheels.

SS Inductions Cold Air Induction Kit - Growler Etc

Brand new DBA front discs and rotors (1 week old)

FordXR6Turbo.com Stickers (Front Windscreen and Rear Screen)

Few scratches on front bar due to going up the driveway (front bar left)

Usually only driven for short trips, meetings and to my parents house (who live 15 mins away).

Will be taking some photos soon and uploading them (just need to get it washed after all this damn rain we have had the last few days).

I am interested in some serious offers.. and will also list this in the classifieds shortly and then on carsales probably next week. Will entertain offers high 40ks with the extras..

I agree. Mine is the same year with less km's and I doubt I'd get any more than $45k and it's worth more than that to me. Most of the time the mods won't add value on the market either and sometimes make it harder to sell. Could be a good thing though, your accountant might let you keep it. What would you buy next?

Looking at carsales they are going for mid to high 40s standard. I would be happy to sell for high 40s.

These days unless your car has had a bucket of money spent on it and had some major engine work done the mods add little to no extra value. If anything it makes it a lot harder t sell than a factory car at the same $$ value due to obvious apprehension and uncertainty that goes with buying a car that's been modified.

For example the average price on car sales for a UTE like mine, same year, same spec and km/s is around 33k. I have put 10k under the bonnet alone and I cant even get a phone call at 35k. that's not to say I expect to get 35, but even an offer of 32 would be considered. I think its just easier as a buyer these days to play it safe, especially when these cars are no slouch to begin with.

I am thinking possibly a Mercedes Benz for a little while.. until the predecessor to the FG comes out. Then I will be back in the game. It all depends on what I get for the FG, what the new car loan repayments will be (I do not want them to be more) etc.. According to my novated lease statement I currenly owe $49k. So close to that price selling it would be great.

To be honest due to the fact that I traded in the XR6 Turbo way too soon and jumped into the Typhoon, so they added a good 20k or so to the cost of the car... then got rid of the typhoon and into the FG, so i have been carrying around a larger than normal loan repayment inherit of the last few cars.. Hopefully this can pay it out and make me semi neutral again.
