You could be wrong, I could be wrong. Like Kitty said, I let google be my friend, and I stumbled across the quoted text. It seemed reasonably up to date. But, I am pretty sure it is 16 for both. For male homosexuals they were talking about making it 16 also, but I am not sure if it has made it into law yet...

I get a question - did you mean ANAKIN? My real name is a christian rock singer who has descended into a spiral of drug abuse and depression... There was recent lobbying by a lot of Catholic priests, District Court Judges, State Labor politicians, teachers, senior journalists and media executives as well as senior welfare lobby group people to have the age of consent for homosexuals lowered to 16 as well " so as not to discriminate against them"More likely so that none of the above are charged with sexual assault by their victims when they are old enough to reakise they can make a dolar out of it!!! Guest Isher Guests Posted 30/11/03 09:54 AM Share Posted 30/11/03 09:54 AM I also thought that there was some relation between the age gap between the two people. ie, the age of consent for girl might be 16 as long as her 'Partner" is no more than two years older then her. Once she is 18 it is open slather, so to speak. Thought I heard that once.Slightly OT...Question for Plonky...What is the legal difference between the charges of "Sexual Assault", "Indecent Assault", and either prefixed with "Aggravated"? Are they one in the same? You often her of them being mentioned on the News in relation to cases of assault or rape etc.Sorry to bring the mood of the thread down but I had often wondered what the legal difference was.Isher
