The std hotside gets the boost in earlier and is good for 400rwkw no worries, been their done that.It did however provide added spool noise, just not the earlier spooling like advertised.

When I fitted the "upgraded" hotside Bruce said it was going to hurt spool time and sure enough it did, this was on the std turbo also.Running std hotside on the GTX still.

Yeah bruce did say that I could have/should have kept the standard hot side, however when he road tested the car he was suprised that it had made no difference in spool. I guess this had come down to the fact I'm still running the stock cross over pipes??? Just waiting on the rapid V2.5 system now. But none in stock for about 2 months.

so should I be putting on a stock dump to help with back pressure?

I cant see a bigger less restrictive hot side hurting performance...

With the hotside Bruce explained it to me like this.

The factory pipe all be it smaller allows boost to come on sooner/harder because of the faster airflow through the slightly smaller but more than adequate std 2" hotside.

2" hotside on a smaller Fg turbocharged car....that would boost off idle I recon.
