Missed your apology post up there Aaron lol :P....

But yes Mr gagliardi is entrusted with all the motor work again I am getting much more hands on and dismantling the orange thing has given me a bit more knowledge. My engine has stood up through a lot of botched tuning attempts before going to Bruce and I know first time around brucy gave it a good go too lol and I still couldn't be happier so Pete is the man.

I'll fit all the fuel system, gauges, shifter n stuff like that but leave the important stuff to him.

As far as the computer its gonna be either motec or haltec which ever gives us more scope and range to play with. Pete has a fella that tunes the LS 2 in a fink truck he built with a motec system this guy is based in Adelaide but flies around the country his name is troy I think we are gonna have a chat with him first...

Another thing does anyone run or no of water to air intercoolers for ba-bf he said I should look into running one seeing as we are going all out??

Kwik...

I remember BF6 saying something about having his flushed and they had to use a special machine that drains the old oil and replaces the new stuff and that it had to measure the oil spot on?? maybe issues with cooler when used on that machine or lines got some sort of blockage from the old oil?

if u have disconnected the cooler completely, maybe try purging the cooler with the gulf western and try again???

Just a guess at best on my part lol. sure theres many others on here who have more experience with that stuff

Are you all running the same size hoses? Like do they come with their own or do you have to go out and buy some? Maybe install some bigger ones and see how to goes?

Having trailered my car to headcote 3 times to run it, I couldn't give a rats if there was a long drop sh*tter for all to share at AIR!! I too thought AIR was a sh*t hole until we ended up with no hole at all. Never have I heard of a racer complain about the actual track, and as a racer that's all that matters to me.

Sure, aspire for more, but be greatfull for what we have and make the most of it. Motorplex, willowbank and wsid barely make a profit as a business and that's with a scene and population much bigger than ours. Let's be realistic, even the cashed up sandgropers can't get the Motorplex to function year round and close shop for winter. Only group one racers in Willowbank get bitumen pits, the rest are on grass and the toilets at WSID are glorified atco huts like most construction sites!! My point is: enjoy what we have and be realistic . SA won't hold 2 tracks, one will close once the novelty wears off

I agree but with housing developments approaching AIR/Speedway city, the power of the land developers and the people living in the new estates around there will knock the 2 places on the head, especially any night events.... Just like the Rowley Park Speedway days (if people can remember that speedway track that was on Torrens road up until 1979)

They already have time curfews for speedway city that didnt happen 10yrs ago when there was bugger all around except for market gardens.

Cougar raceway has the problem of Monarto Zoo but the track will 2kms away from it and in a area already designated as a "motorsport" area due to the motorcross and go kart tracks as well as the model aeroplane clubs next to where the dragstrip will be.

If people remember back to when monarto zoo opened, it was only ever going to be a "holding/Quarantine" area not a actual zoo as such.

All I can say is lets hope Cougar raceway takes off and is developed into a much better "complex" than the run down, race into the evening sun, bob/rodney jane A.I.R, BUT whilst its all we have to play on in the way of drag racing for now, lets make the most of it and support Rino (pity old tight arse bob jane gets a cut of the $$$ that Rino has bought in recently)

Guys I'm looking for some help on SA workshops. Having recently bought the BA, and it being 9+years old, I want to give it a full going over. Trans service, diff oil change, engine oil change, new plugs, TB clean, etc.

First off trans & diff - where would people recommend I go for full flush & service of each? I would prefer somewhere near Keswick so can take it prior to work, BUT Will also consider anywhere between Trott Park & Keswick. (Will probably have a trans cooler installed also)

Then the remaining service items - I'm not so keen on doing them myself as Im not physically as able as I used to be (damn arthritis!) so would prefer a workshop or perhaps a kind sole who has some spare time on a weekend to help me out?

Cheers

Lee
