Sorry if its old news but a little birdy today told me that SA is now using a new set of rules concerning defects on cars. Mates VT SS was defected for 2 things 20" wheels and illegal tint, as some people do he continue to drive around. He was pulled over today scince a copper seen the sticker on his window, although the copper didnt take the sticker off he assured my mate that new rules are in and that he could go to the cop shop and have it removed for the normal fee of 29 bucks or what ever it is.

No regulation on rim size as long as the rolling diamiter doesnt increase by 3%.

Legal darkness for tint is now changed, unclear on how dark but darker than what was current.

I dont know what else but this is what I have heard, any one else? Im calling motoreg tomorrow but im just to eager to find out if this is true.

On a side note, you live near andrews farm turbojet?

I see you driving down davorn road on a weekly basis.

I used to drive a drive a blueprint xr6t, p plates stock wheels sunroof.

Maybe if we're lucky they made our window tinting rules the same as everywhere else in Australia. Would be interesting to find out what the changes are.

they have brought the window tinting laws the same as in every other state so we can go darker legaly.

as far as the defects and rules go I swear they make it up as they go along dude ive got off defects recently that I never should of and at cop shops vs regency

the rules are as clear as mud and even when u do ring up and get info it changes so fast ull still get caught out sux I know just have to hope the copper that pings ya is a good sport about it and lets ya go cop shop cause if regency get a hold of ya these days its a pain in the ass period

As for the turbo, bad news im afraid. I had to get rid of her. With the whole global financial crisis I felt it was the best thing to do... UPGRADE IT that is. Traded the beast in and put an order in for a brand new fg turbo ute. Arrives in april some time I have been told. So im inbetween cars. But yeah, I been laying low for the last 12 months, bought a house in lakeside last year so all my attention has been directed at that, and I cost me every last penny I had up untill now.

Any way back to the point, I rang motorego and like you said they are useless. They dont really know, not really there department the lady told me. Also asked about the whole P platers and turbo cars thing that's going to come around one day. I signed for my car and then realised what happens if some law comes in and f*cks me over. 45g garden ornament. So yeah the lady said that there not allowed to give any infomation out about it because of the papers and news making a huge fuss over it. So yeah who knows.

Good to hear about the tinting. I got tinting thrown in from the dealer for free at tint a car so I might ring em and get some 20% all round or something. Nice a dark, .
