Its got quiet here lately, you lot all sick?

I'm due for a service, can't be bothered going all the way to Lonsdale for it, only way I can really manage it is taking a day off work, hardly worth it just for an oil change.

Has anyone been to http://www.paulpavloumotors.com.au/ on George st, Thebarton? I go past it everyday, and there are always multiple cars that are drool worthy, and quite often a falcon of sorts.

Paul's a top bloke, his my mechanic.

Recommend!!

Thanks Nick (your loc says melb?)

Impatience got me, booked in for next wed earlier today.

Figured how bad can it be, its just an oil change! Plus all the fancy classics there everyday would have very particular owners!

Lonsdale (day off work) is currently a deterrent to doing more to the car. Paul is 2mins away. Kind of hoping its a bad experience, or it could get expensive. :mosking:

Love it!!! More than good!!

It's the best, they only sell the original flavor at Woolies in Vic, the only thing missing was a Villies Pie/Pastie or Balfours pastie. Maybe tomorrow. ;)

Got my car serviced at Paul Pavlou yesterday, was happy. Did a good job, and picked up on things they should.

Got a dyno run too, to compare to Bruce's, everyone says his is generous.

Pulled 256rwkw at Bruce's in January this year immediately after the tune, 247rwkw at Pauls. Not sure of the temp difference, but it would have been much cooler 2 days ago then Jan, I remember using the a/c in the Lancer on the way to pick it up and watch the dyno run. Car is the same.....

...almost....., I was at Bruces for the dyno run in Jan, no problems. After the run two days ago they said it misfired a couple times after the 3rd run, indicating the valve springs couldn't settle back down initially. They said under normal road use I'd probably never hit the same issue, but if I chase more power I'll have to do them for sure.

Undecided if I'll go further.... would love the magical 300rwkw though. If the valve springs are showing weakness now I'm inclined to do them, which means I might as well do the injectors, and actuator, oh and hiflow cat, and a intercooler and and and..... ;)

Giving the Collingrove Hillclimb a shot this weekend which will be a laugh. I know a few guys in rex's that do it, said I'd give it a go for fun. I'm wondering how I'm going to launch of the line in the wet...slowwwwwwwly I guess. I just hope I can get a few runs in without the backend overtaking the front...

I know its not an event suited to a large rwd car. Anyone else had a crack in their T? Any tips?
