fair enough, but the smaller turbo is mainly the reason. or maybe I would be better off with an fg turbo? killer take off, but lower top end. that's how I imagine a stock hot side to behave?

more power low in the rev range COMPARED to peak power with a stock hot side,

less power low in the rev range COMPARED to peak power with a big hot side, but higher peak power....

eg: 250rwkw low revs- 350rwkw high revs with stock hot side

250 rwkw low revs- 400rwkw high revs with big hot side. not more low end, but not less?

sound about right?

Up top my car has never showed an advantage on the road with the larger hot side, the 2" item isn't a restriction at all be it low/mid or top power. That killer takeoff and less top end analogy doesn't show up in results/tests from me nor Bruce's other cars. His words were to me"Its not a restriction at 400rwkw even".Now lets say this larger piping makes an extra 2hp,id wager that a car with the same tune will smack it up top and down low any day of the week.A couple horsepower is eff all compared to the gains of getting these barges out the whole quicker with the std hot side,to me having the larger hot side is a form of lag/foreplay which when traction is not good can be an advantage possibly.

I have had four different turbos on this car(std 35/40,FG turbo, modified std 35/40 and the current GTX) and about 15 different sessions of tuning with Bruce,I can honestly tell you what each individual basic mod does for a car,I have never done everything all at once, not how I roll.Im a data bloke so to speak, yeah its cost me a little more but I know what works 9/10.

Next week ill be doing a 3" vs 4" intake test and then box up both items and retest, will provide dyno and bummometer results.Should crack the 120 mark dyno run wise lol.

Bring on the drags, you running the snotta Jetters?

I will be heading out with same power as before bar the added 4" intake, should make 350 at a psi less is the plan/hope,trying to help the bottom end a little haha.If I can better my time with the std trans and stall ill be more than happy.Ill be using 255/40/18 street tires, gains will have to come from before half track as the 3rd gear slips so mph wont increase I recon.
