Can't wait for cougar raceway to get under way!

I know Rino is putting plenty of time and cash into A I R but unfortunately the place is a sh*t hole and needs to be flattened. I have loved AIR for many year but after getting back from the winter nationals at willow bank raceway and seeing how a race track should look like it will be hard to go there and sh*t on a dirt hill to even watch. With venues like Perth motorplex and western Sydney even bluddy Alice springs has a new track it's time South Australia gets back to group one racing!!

In saying that at least someone for now has put his balls on the line and we can all go do what we luv ay!

I hear ya big guy. It was so good to go to the drags and see people and families walking around without having to walk and sit on dirt and the racers having green lawn and bitumen pits with power. $50 bucks a day didn't seem so bad compared to $35 here to watch

Having trailered my car to headcote 3 times to run it, I couldn't give a rats if there was a long drop sh*tter for all to share at AIR!! I too thought AIR was a sh*t hole until we ended up with no hole at all. Never have I heard of a racer complain about the actual track, and as a racer that's all that matters to me.

Sure, aspire for more, but be greatfull for what we have and make the most of it. Motorplex, willowbank and wsid barely make a profit as a business and that's with a scene and population much bigger than ours. Let's be realistic, even the cashed up sandgropers can't get the Motorplex to function year round and close shop for winter. Only group one racers in Willowbank get bitumen pits, the rest are on grass and the toilets at WSID are glorified atco huts like most construction sites!! My point is: enjoy what we have and be realistic . SA won't hold 2 tracks, one will close once the novelty wears off

So got my XFT built ZF flushed yesterday with Gulf Western syntrans...felt good driving home...

Went to drive the phoon this morning and when I put it into D nothing happened...It reeved but no go...Tried reverse still no go.....HMM a few curse words later it finaly decided to play ball.. Played up all the way to the city not changing gears right, not selecting any gear when I went to take off from lights....Was at the point of pulling over and leaving the keys in the ignition and hoping some mug would take it off my hands.... :headbang2:

Was acting as if it was low on oil..

But I know it wasnt...

Spent the whole day thinking about it and decided to disconnect the trans cooler and plumb the factory heat exchanger in once I got home..

TaaDaa good as new..shifts like a new box.. :fireworks:

Thinking all the issues I have had since I have had my XFT box may have been as a result of the transcooler I had fitted.

Maybe the hoses were not the same size causing a pressure difference or oil wasnt getting hot enough... F knows.. all I can put it down to...

Running the same cooler as Foyle so not sure why it didn't wanna play the game..

Will see how it goes in the morning...fingers crossed
