That'd be right, was already thinking along those lines, might get a bore scope and check it out, didn't last long not even on the road again for 2 weeks lmao. Don't think I'll be making any runs ane time soon Daz lol, need to pull the motor out to clean the mess up properly anyways.

What's the Best bang for buck piston/rod combo's?

How much power were you making? Spool rebuild kits are good for big power, better option than fg short.

A ring can f*ck up at any point, a mates fg shat one with 20 000kms.

Dunno Daz, I thought it may have been the catch can arrangement being blocked so I cleaned it all out to eliminate that, wasn't doing this before I done the diff so dunno, engines not making any noises that weren't there before either, haven't given it a hard time other than a couple of joy rides, wouldn't have noticed except I could smell oil so checked it out. But as I said I've had oil problems since I got it, that's why I got the catch can, but now it seems I have stuffed it again. Stock pistons the best ones to use Daz?

Yeah Henz wasn't going to contemplate the FG short, rather build the motor for long term, power was 300+rwkw but that is all I have to say on that subject lol, yeah figured with these things it can happen at anytime, in short the wife doesn't understand this and once I tell her I'm in the shyt again after the diff episode, told the wife the other day it would be good to have the engine go so I could clean the bay up but that didn't go down to well lol oh well once its done it'll be better and cleaner, got friggin oil everywhere at the moment,

Foon start car, take dipstick out put thumb over dipstick hole, get someone to rev it. If you feel air coming out of dipstick hole, you could have blowby. But that's only a maybe, better to get leakdown test done.

Slip it down to Bruce, and get it checked properly. Only guesses otherwise.

If you gunna go the Spool way, get better pistons as well. Do it once properly.
