Hey Jet little bit has been happening, rear end is out as well as the fuel tank and the 20's are gone. Should be recieving the 4 link and 9 inch next week. Fitted some nice sized convo pros under there so it looks not too bad.

I'll still drive it on the rd but yeah I wanted reliability at the drags. I can't believe how much money I wasted on the standard rear end though :P but you get that....

Question .?

Can you put a 9inch diff in f6 fg?

Would it be better stronger?

Would the weakest link then be the gearbox?

I have gone through 2 tailshafts

And 1 diff

2 power steering pumps

And a sh*t load of tyres.

You can put a 9inch diff into pretty much anything and there isn't really anything stronger than a 9 inch. Mcdonald bros racing do an off the shelf 4 link and 9 inch kit now for the BA-BFs which is saving me a lot of money on the fabricating side of things. I still have to sort out exactly what to do about a tailshaft cos I reckon that will be the weakest part now. After that most probably the gearbox. How much difference is there under a ba to fg I have no idea
