No way am I making that mistake again. The rotors had to get machined (Glazed DBA 4000 slots), so I'm wondering if a really hard pad would be ok because of the machine job.If so, what is the best performance pad? Keep in mind I am a very hard braker, and I need the best pads. If I could afford MS700's setup I would get it, but still garuntee I'd wear it out.Part numbers? My car is at the dealers over night, getting brake system replaced..I need to give them an idea of what I want tomorow so they can order and hopefully have them on by lunch time..Thanks for the help. Hi CrowSounds like you need a radar detector as well.I fitted DBA Golds drilled/slotted and went with Ferodo Formula pads front and rear a huge improvement at any speed, and I can't get them to fade.part numbers for pads are.FRONT DB1473FFREARS DB1376FF.I have double checked the numbers against the boxes (my better half keeps these things, just in case). I can't fault the Ferodos so far, and the guy where I bought them from advised me that they were a better pad than the self destructing things you have been running. Cost $300 all up inc Greedy Stealing Tax. Hope this helps

And if you were working them that hard to make them glow, I love your work I might have a talk to Nicholas for you, and have a chat to him, he deals with brakes for a living. If there is a better pad out there, I want it

You may have to adjust your technique and have the pads bedded in correctly before using the brakes once they are repaired. Even with the old AUXR8 1 with the little brakes, they would last at least 10k under the workout we give brakes.I would be concentrating on your technique and make sure the pads are bedded in correctly - you have to accept that, because it is extremely unlikely that both pad AND rotor are faulty. I really wish I got the manual, as it would of made life so much easier. When I pick my car up next week I'll have time to bed the brakes in. Last time I went on a cruise the next day...I've learnt my lesson this time, so my next car = Manual, Sports Steering Wheel, and MS700's brakes. Stuff the leather and sunroof. For now, I'll see if I can get better pads than Ferodo Formula's, if not I'll get the formula's.

Just need to rustle up your Motospecs distributor.Anything better than that would need to be cut from and existing pad and could be done. DS2500 would be better if your real hard on them especially with a car of that weight with small brakes.Nic could arrange cutting to the required shape. Ferodo is an Italian company and the DB1473 is a local shape only not a "world car" shape so don't expect DS2500's off the production line.......I'm still waiting on VT-VX shape.
