Hey guy's, a mate's stock 03 XR6T tranny has died for the 2nd time, this is a stock as a rock standard T, question is I have a near new BA NA auto lying around which I told him he can have to get him out of trouble if he need's, as he uses it daily as his work car, Now we are just wondering if anybody know's are they exactly the same or will bolt in and work etc as we dont wana pull it all out only to find out nothing's guna line up or it's not guna work...

Is wiring and plug's the same ?? Trans lines etc etc

It's only a temporary thing to continue to get him to work and back for a month or 2...

Anybody know ??

Should be the same. I did a turbo engine transplant into an 03 BA NA and used the original NA transmission. The turbo engine has a mild tune 12psi walbro pump& 60lb injectors and a driver that doesnt mind giving it a serve. Has been fine for more than 10 months so far. Hope that helps ya.

Cheer's mate, yeah well im presuming the Turbo's had a pretty similar transmission, just unsure if it's EXACT, he is leaving the car stock as a rock as it's his daily and doesnt wana muck with it, so yeah fingers crossed everythings exactly the same and his back on the road...

If anybody else know's anything for certain please feel free to post...

Cheers

I looked up the trans specs in a workshop manuel and couldnt find any difference between NA and TURBO. If you want to be sure check with a transmission speacialist like Bayswater Automatics or some other trans builder.
