hey guys im new to the forums and a mate of mine that is on here (j-xr6t) told me join up as my girl/friend has a xr6t and we go cruising and that alot....but we have problems with the car

the girl I am with just got an BA XR6-T....used and bought it from a Expensive Daewoo dealer (errr I wish I knew where she got it from lol) but anyway...the car is alright when driving normal and at half throttle....

but when you do decide to put your foot down it will boost up and rev to 4000RPM and start cutting out and when we let go of the accelerator the car goes into limp mode and starts misfire and seems like it wants to die....but if we turn it off and back on its alright again.....but we cant put our foot down at all because it always does the same thing.....its still under the 5000km warranty from Expensive Daewoo but they have no clue on whats going on with a Ford xr6t....they wouldnt even know what a turbo was.....lol I have looked at a few places apparantly this is a common problem but I cant find a solution. anyone have any ideas??

I dont think its the coils though...because if you are at 3/4 throttle you can take it up all the way up to almost redline without an issue...its only when you put your foot down to the floor....we wanted to take it to the creek tonight but yea...wont happen now...lol

Problem with it being the coils is once the load is gone again (throttle off) it shouldn't be misfiring or struggling. Are you near any tuners that could diagnose it then take it back to Expensive Daewoo to fix.

Before you start forking out on the expensive stuff, check the Plugs, the Fuel Filter and have your Injectors serviced and flowed!

- These are 'basic' service issues, any of which can be causing your problem!

Agree. Get a GOOD service done and if by a site sponsor (people who know what they are doing) chuck it on a dyno to see whats join on. It will cancel out a lot of things by doing a service, change the coils as they are cheap.. Valve springs are about $800-$1000 fitted, and then if that's not your problem you'd be spewin..

could it be the hose on the boost controller to wastgate cracked or split this would cause overboost and it would go into limp mode and adjust the timing so you wouldn't damage engine which causes a miss fire just a sugestion
