I dont have 570's. I've got 2x 830mhz clocked Asus GTX560ti's

werdsaap was formally known as timeless, quite a gun player, his bf2 chopper whoring skills were amazing back in the day.. Today, along with jssr, they are both "hardcore" close combat guys. Its fun playing with them, and ranking up the medic revive points =)

Yes ... you need win 7 =)

I'm running Medium settings as well with the 2x gtx560ti's.. I havent tried High, which gtx560's you got? and what clock?

Yeh that's right.. stat padding will still happen regardless on what they say.. but I know I hate waiting around for servers to get 5 people to start... Question.. If the server has 5 people, then 2 drop out during the game.. What happens? Does it allow to end?

And the response to all of this is......................HAX!

well.. I've got the following..

Asus P6X58D-PREMIUM

I7 930 2.8ghz

OCZ 12GB Kit (6x2GB), PC3-12800 (1600MHz) DDR3, Gold XTC

2x Intel X-25m 80gb SSD in RAID1 for boot/windows drive.

Adaptec 3405 Raid controller for the following 4x drives.

4x Seagate 1tb drives in raid5 for storage.

Typical DVD burner drive.

2x Asus GTX560ti vid cards.

Keep in mind my setup is 2 years old, my Intel ssd's in raid do 500mb/s read/write. You can buy a OCZ/Kingston sandforce based SSD which does this as a single drive.. mmmm Imagine 2 of them in Raid 1... 1000mb/s read/write should be possible.

I've also only recently added the 2x GTX560ti video cards (was running a old GTX9800)

Oh, and as of last night....

I'm a boss!

and BF3 spec ..

cant say im up to date now with wats new cos I know wen I start looking round ill want that haha. whats your budget freeze cos that will decide wat u get :P

I got asus maximus-iv extreme-z , gigabyte gtx580 3gb , corsair 1200w psu , g-skill ripjaw 8gb 2133 ram , ssd , basic dvd burner

u could go the 2011 socket but cos its all new everythings expensive. id definitely recommend asus boards..easy as bios and im very happy with mine.

2011 socket u could go the rampage iv extreme, comes with battlefield (lol) n it looks like a good layout. $539 or the gigabyte ga-x79-ud7 for $419

cpu theres only 2 where im looking i7 3930k $679 (other ones $1249..)

so as I said its all new and pretty expensive. on the 1155 chipset its a bit cheaper. i7 2600k for $339 and the motherboard I have for $449. only about $300 difference, up to u

for the ram if u go the 2011 chip, the asus board is quad channel (expensive and is 4 x 4gb sticks), gigabyte just the dual. 1155 board is dual channel. 2133 g-skill dual ch. is $99 whereas the 2133 quad channel is $209.

hdd id advise to get an ssd and put the operating system on it and your most played games, bf3 of course :) I still cant believe I used to wait so long for my computer to load before I upgraded. now its just so much faster. im not sure on what to get but something 120gb will be good and dont get the patriot wildfire..the connection doesnt actually clip in and drives me nuts, computer will just randomly drop out and ill have to open the case, wiggle the connection which is still in (?) and restart, then its all good. sometimes I go for weeks without it happening, somedays its just sh*t lol. cable tied it around from back to front but still happens -_-

and I recommend a cpu cooler, the cooler I got - noctua nh-d14 keeps my temps between 20-30 degrees. verrry happy but its a f*ckin big cooler lol. 2mm to the side panel of my case.

and hdd 2tb go the western digital caviar black. 2tb is $299

all up to you on what u wanna get but im sure u have a budget. ben doesnt believe in budgets..clearly!! lol but ive given u a few ideas to think about, good luck n let us know what u get :spoton:

Im running the MSI gtx 560Ti on the out of the box clock. I find BF3 and OC's = Lame. Dont really need it for BF3 anyway as the game looks good even on the lowest settings except AA of course. Congrats on getting you monitors set up now you da baws!

How much you lookin at spending?

Mate, if you can afford it, I would recommand the 2011 socket any day of the week... quick reason why

i7-9xx cpu's.. Triple channel ram (ram configuration on board is in groups of 3)

i7-2xxx cpu's.. Double channel ram (ram configuration on board is in groups of 2, and max of 4 slots)

i7-3xxx cpus (the new 2011 socket). Quad channel ram (ram configuration is in groups of 4, and typical motherboards I've seen have 8 sockets!)

As you can see, the i7-2xxx lost our on the memory bandwidth somewhat in comparison. The new 2011 socket utilizes ram on how it should have in the i7-2xxx processors.
