Have recently put an XR6T tune into my F6, as a result of my F6 having no VIN number, hence being unable to tune it. Changed all the data over from the F6 tune, car runs fine, exactly how it was before. The only problem I'm having is the oil light comes on. Does anyone know of a workaround to this, or does anyone have a BA F6 tune with a VIN? Have tried using a BF one, cannot get it to load onto the car.

It erases the VCM, then comes up with Request Download Timed Out. Cannot get it to work at all. And yes I do have oil haha. I think it has something to do with the F6 having oil cooler/pressure gauge. Has anyone else loaded a BF tune into a BA?

Once it erases the vcm how do you then get it to take a reflash.Mine has just decided not to play anymore after previously being flashed multiple times with no issues.Today it failed a flash then failed the key on off test cycle and now tells me it cant locate the vcm.

Thanks for the info Luke but I tried that multiple times with no success.I thought it may have been the cable or unit but tried it on another vehicle and completed a read without any problems. If you have any other suggestions I can try Im all ears.

cheers, John

I had that happen a couple of times and doing as I described above usually fixes it. Try flashing the stock tune back in, and also make sure the battery is fully charged

I Had another go at it about 3 hours later and had the trickle charger on it as I had earlier, started the software back up and tried the same tune as I was trying to load earlier in the day and it did a rewrite without a hiccup. Thanks for your help Luke, much appreciated .Now just need to find out why the other tune decided to run on the fat side later in the road test.
