Hi all, just like to let everyone know about the Harrop Monster brake kit I just had fitted to my G6ET.

Has 370mm front 356 rear 2 piece rotors with 4 piston 2 piece calipers and braided hoses, I had them painted in silver as opposed to the std Harrop red and black rotor hats as opposed to the std silver.

The stopping power is awesome smooth but firm, pedal feel is so much better.

Had a few dramas initially with wheel fitment and front rotor offset(factory wheels will not fit, require FPV type wheel, anything that will fit over brembos will easily fit over the harrops) as I believe this is the first FG to have the Monster kit fiited. You can just see quality when you look as these.

I have added a couple of photos.

$5400 supply to Perth

Didn't like the dark argents on the G6 so got some of these FPV GT-Es off being powder coated.

Love em mate... any pics of your whole car anywhere?

New wheels would be awesome, might hide those big brakes a bit more though..

Was after the sleeper look, so I sort of knew I would be hiding the brakes a bit.

Haven't got any photos of whole car with the darkies and harrops, this is a link below to some earlier shots of the G6E 19s in black..

I think the Gt-E wheels in black will look even better and the silver calipers/rotors will peek thru just enough. Should be done with the powder coating by week end and on soon after..

It's a lot of coin but, better option than brembos IMO unless you get them cheap. When you consider all the problems people have had with them it makes these a viable option. They look awesome.

The 6/4 brembos to my door were going to cost close to the same. Thought I'd go something different and up the quality. All custom made in Melbourne, from caliper castings to rotors and braided hoses.

Not sure how the two kits compare stopping wise but would be similar- Brembo front 355mm 6 pot vs Harrop front 370mm 4 pot and Brembo rear 330mm 4 pot vs Harrop rear 356mm 4 pot. Be interesting if anyone has seen any testing done to compare the two options.

The Ultimates are the sh*t, you must be doing some track work to need those suckers and Teins as well I see.

They rate like V8 supercar brakes. all the harrop gear is so well made and engineered, my Truetrac is so smooth and quiet

The Ultimates were overkill for my needs so I'm glad Harrops decided to do a Monster kit for the Fords.
