Vivasanti Member 39 Member For: 13y 7m 9d Posted 23/09/11 12:00 PM Share Posted 23/09/11 12:00 PM I have a 2005 BA falcon 130,000 kms approx, every now and then theres a whining/whiring noise, at first I thought it was the tires on some particular tarmac, but could it be the diff? how loud is a diff whine? and how can you tell if its the diff?It doesnt do it all the time and I was in getting a wheel balance today, and the guy there told me that one of my rear tires is misshapen (im in he market for 2 new rear tires) so this made me think it could be the tire on certain grades of tarmac?any info would be sweet?cheers team. I doubt it would be the tyres. Are you driving across much open grade asphalt or concrete pavement (freeways)? They tend to make a horrible whining noise..
