CBXRT Banned 643 Member For: 14y 3m 14d Gender: Male Posted 16/01/12 11:32 PM Share Posted 16/01/12 11:32 PM on ebay you can buy the 6 coils in a pack - used to be around the $160 mark from coffey ford / mikes model cars.don't worry about replacing your injectors, and definetly get a price before hand if you want to go that way.Ok thanks mate. $160 is fine.that's where I get confused as on EBay some show 6 seperate "Genuine Ford ignition coils" (look similar to seperate fuel injectors), the next person advertises a "Genuine Ford coil pack" which looks like one enclosed square item with no ignition coils in it!?! Bizarre!Yep, just buy the coils 1st mate. Seems to fix most people's problems. They can easily be changed in about half an hour.Also thanks mate. Sounds like ill leave injectors then if it doesnt sound like typical symptoms.....and spot on, the mechanic did say coils much faster ot put in than injectors so ill save on labour.Cheers. They say it is fine for Ts but then these sellers have no idea and just want the sale!Ill buy the six genuine (not interested in potentially inferior crap just to save $50) coils from either Coffey or online depening on where I can get the best price. Saw it after I posted........ There are a few el cheapoes on there ($90), surely cant be any good if the genuine ones still break down.....reckon I would be lucky to make it home!
