I'm up for a new set of coils and was just wondering where people have been purchasing them lately??

also has anyone used the VLand or iQuay brands or any other that you would reccommend? or are people still just using genuine?

any help would be appreciated as the price of genuines has nearly doubled since the last set I bought...

cheers :beerchug:

genuines off ebay mate - from coffey ford I think, one of the ford places anyway. I can't seem to find them now.

A guy over on AFF got tsome from this guy and they weren't genuine ones

spose that's why I get mine from the ford dealers, might price a set up to see how much they are now.

how much did you get quoted?

I've tried 4 or 5 sets of different branded coils over the years. The genuines have been the best. Others went from being ok to lasting just a few days before they began breaking down under boost. I sampled one set from China (from the manufacturer) that were as good as the genuines but I don't know of anyone selling them. I've now bought 3 sets of genuines from eBay and they've all been great.

Go for genuines from ebay mate.

Hi I recently got a set from

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-6CYL-BA-IGNITION-COILS-GENUINE-COILS-TURBO-XR6-/110740081048?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c89f8998

They where genuine and appeared to be new also the newer coils ca on the part no later type I read??

The best qoute I got from Ford was $360 for the set with abit of arm twisting so hope this helps.

These ones are the go - from Coffey Ford:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-BA-BF-Territory-Ignition-Coils-6pc-set-Genuine-/150733534383?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23186b34af#ht_2874wt_1270

The guy there that I spoke with also advised that next month a new supplier will kick in, quality is unknown.

So I assume there will be a new part # to replace the current BAF12A366A stock.

The ones on ebay are $175, delivered, genuine Ford from a Ford dealer with invoice.

The VDO ones supposedly aren't as good as genuine Ford someone said in another thread.

Be interesting to see if the new ones are any better, and how much they'll cost.
