With turning traction control off. If you hold the button down the light comes on right but if you keep holding it, the light blinks again. Is the second blink for a different setting for the traction control or not?

No worries thanks for the info guys, it just seems a bit irish to me that to have traction control off the light has to be on! anyway thanks again...

Look at it from a safety point of view.. The lights in the dash are warning lights.. So light on is warning you that traction is off..

Though I would really love it if someone could rig up a system that didn't require holding the button in to turn the bastard off..

Ok a bit of an update when I took my T for a drive on the weekend I tested this theory out and obviously something is wrong with mine then because when the traction control is on (light off) and I floor it the (tc) light comes ON so it is turning the tc off, I suppose I will have to get it checked out !!

Light coming on is a warning indicator.. In the FG you get a 'TRACTION CONTROL ERROR PRESS SEL TO CONTINUE' message..

Ford diagnostic will pick it up in a matter of seconds.. Mine was the Steering Angle Sensor (or something like that). Alternatively you could just accept the fact that you're lucky you don't have to turn Traction OFF whenever you want to have fun as the car knows you well enough to do it for you!! :locomotive:
