If you hold the button down the light comes on right but if you keep holding it, the light blinks again. Is the second blink for a different setting for the traction control or not? The lights in the dash are warning lights.. So light on is warning you that traction is off..Though I would really love it if someone could rig up a system that didn't require holding the button in to turn the bastard off.. In the FG you get a 'TRACTION CONTROL ERROR PRESS SEL TO CONTINUE' message..Ford diagnostic will pick it up in a matter of seconds.. Mine was the Steering Angle Sensor (or something like that). Alternatively you could just accept the fact that you're lucky you don't have to turn Traction OFF whenever you want to have fun as the car knows you well enough to do it for you!! If so there is a problem somewhere it hits a problem and just gives up.
