Best Cooler Upgrade Using Standard Piping

Guys, Im looking at modding my stock 06 BF turbo XR.

Looking at tune, injectors, cat, dump (maybe) and intercooler.

Dont want the car to look modified, or change airbox, battery etc so I want a cooler that will fit with no hacking or customising of the visible pipes in the engine bay. dont want a Monza one either.

Im looking for something that will help making a reliable and resonably repeatable 300rwkw (or limit of standard fuel pump which ever comes first )

Options I know of so far:

Plazmaman stage 1 (approx $1000 new)

Process west stage 1 (approx $1000 new)

Capa stage 1 (approx $500 new)

anybody know of others that fit the bill?

More importantly, anybody got one of the above second hand and want to sell them due to upgrading?

Anybody see a problem or got some advice in regards to the above?

cheers

ale

I'm going for the PWR stepped cooler myself.. Perfect fit for FG.. I'm pretty sure they have something for the BF also.. But I'd definitely get the piping upgraded at the same time as the cooler.

I am getting my BA tuned on Friday with a PW stage 1, I like you want the stock look, it would be better to upgrade the pipework but I want the stock look and my cooler is black as well. I think either PW, Plazmaman or rapids would be ok. I think there is a rapids stage 1 in the classifieds. Its actually a Plazmaman intercooler.

If u want totally stock piping...plaz 1 kit, if you dont mind the in bumper pipe of the process west kit, the cooler is alot bigger than the plaz replacement. For 300rwkw, id go that personally if you dont want to cut the bumper support. If you dont mind a bit of choppy chop, theres alot of options.

What about the nizpro cooler guys, bolts in with no cutting, bigger than the others, and proven. As well as great quality.

I have a capa and it's a direct fit.. Just 1 s bend silicone hose to change

Is this yours? http://www.capa.com.au/pics/xr6_intercooler_air_1_big.jpg

Its a nice piece of kit for $495, the horizontal tanks make soo much sense Im surprised more stage 1 kits arnt done like this.

This isnt too bad either:

I'm an accomplished fabricator so dont mind making the hidden pipes, but cutting of any metal is a deal breaker. Im after mods that can easly be returned to stock and keep the car as legal as possible.
