Gone back to the BF style on the foggies. I like that.

Think I would still retro the fg1 upper grill and go to work with a hacksaw on the lower.

But me thinks it's still easier to just buy the spotties.

I cant believe they don't go with the mirrors on all models. They would have to make more in parts. How many lose their mirror. @ what $370 odd each. Kaching.

So it comes down to do I want a large touch screen. Imagine a lot of people are thinking the same thing. How good is it and howmucheeezit?

Well it is good old Aussie ingenuity. Our design and make.

Did the Expensive Daewoo fans have this same dilema or did they get more with the VE2.

great find xtrmn8! the lower grille isnt even that big. looks big in the pics on their website but not so much in the pic above ^

whinge whinge..everyone hated the fg spy pics a few yrs ago, and now theyre everywhere. itll grow on u, grab a tissue ;)

I now cant wait to see what fpv pull out of the hat for the fg2

xr09, from the bit ive had to play around with the one in the folks terri I reckon its pretty decent. not slow, nice image, simple to use. one thing I reckon people will do on the 8in screen is the obdii connection n display the gauges on the screen, cos I doubt people will fit them on top of the screen. people with fg's now say that itd be too high by the time u put a cover on the top of it. fit a sh*t load on the 8in screen lol, then if u wanted more u can display some on your phone haha

Sensational. That is god to hear that it is a good one. The one in the commidore is pretty slow. Not frustrating but...cheap.

Be nice to compare it to the one Ford global wanted to put in. See which performed better.

Yep, the 8-inch touchscreen is the same as what's in the Terri's. The exception is the XT which has the old screen standard and you can option the new screen. If you were going to do that though, it would be cheaper to go for the XR6 (NA) with all its extra options and better retained value.

On the G6ET, they've also added other little things like the Perimeter Alarm, Auto ON/OFF Headlights which were Dealer Fitted Accessories on the MkI. Not that I'm complaining but I would have thought it made more financial sense to offer these as Optional Factory Extra's to make easy moolah...

The new base screen is the same as the base screen in the TX Territory, not the carry over FG MkI monochrome screen.

Auto headlights have been standard from factory on most models since B-series days, and certainly were in FG. Not sure who your dealer is but I hope he's not charging you for all these "dealer fitted accessories"! Perimeter alarm is just a siren mounted next to the horn that will plug in to your loom if you're lucky enough to have the right level wiring harness (afaik G6ET, FPV, maybe 50th anniversay, ie anything with indicators in the mirrors or luxury pack). Dunno how much the part is but worth looking up if you have the connection present. This is also fitted in plant, I know because I put a little bit of effort into finding them before I also figured out I didn't have the right level loom.

I think the new content is so overwhelming that I didn't think I could handle it, so I bought a runout MkI. :senile:
