I got a DSLR 2 years ago and the bug has bitten me quite hard. I've somehow managed to collect a pretty decent amount of gear in that time.

Motorbikings, racing the cars round the track and autocrosses, wakeboarding, snowboarding, other sports when I get round to it, PS3, remote control heli, bit of paintball, good sound system at home, and a little bit of photograph (still know bugger all thou).

I find it spreads me pretty thin, usually do one thing for a while then drop it for something else and come back to it again.

Wakeboarding is no worries hardest part is getting up if you've got that down ya should be sweet.

Geez Adam you could be in the 400 club by now lol.

Nah. I couldn't justify that on my car.

Lenses last a lifetime so I don't mind spending a bit extra for the top shelf items and they hold value really well too, not that I'll be selling anytime soon.

I don't really need much more now. The only big $ items I could see myself getting at some stage would be a strobe setup more powerful than my speedlites and a camera body update.

I don't think it's an unusual amount of money. I'm sure most of these guys have spent more than that on their cars, jet skis, motor bikes, boats etc etc. If it makes you happy and your priorities are taken care of first then I say go for it!

Todd (my son) and I used to be right in to RC car racing. In 2006 he won the Australian championship and the WA championship. In 2007 he liked girls and cars. No more RC. I miss it abit, but now we both have F6 so its all good. He also has a Yamaha 650 and I a kwaka 1600 and we go cruising.

Nice one Aaron, kids grow up fast that is for sure......when Livi gets to that age I will be on full alert for boys etc! ha ha

Brilliant that you spend time with your son, plenty see children just as a nuisance so that's really refreshing :beerchug:

Yeah did it on the bike. Rode over a log in a sandy creek bed and put my foot down and it just went pop. Rode another 10 mins and put foot down again and it went pop click. I used to laugh at footy players when they did stuff like this and they rolled all over the field screaming. I now know why because it hurts.... A lot.

Enjoy mountain bike riding (XC) and a bit of road riding/racing too. Spoilt living in ACT, Stromlo is only 15 mins from my house.

Like to try and keep fit, going to the gym, perving on chicks in the spin classes.....

Also love to get out on my Ducati 1198SP.
