If you can wait or successfully rob a bank I'd say a BF mark II is a better buy

Typhoon motor and slightly better brakes, updated centre console, and previous problems in the BA have been ironed out (except build quality) and not that much more than the BA too!

If you look underneath the BF and the BA you will noticed the BF will have stronger nuts/bolts, if not then just more of them!

Slightly stronger chassis which I like

BA's have an extremely weak rear end

I know this thread is old, but I'm in the exact same position,I live in sydney and I'm looking for a xr6t in the same price bracket but I can't find anything in manual other then series 1 ba's, so 5spds, with around 100k on them for about 17 - 18k. there are a sh*t load of autos out there with less k's and are cheaper but I'd prefer a manual...... any suggestions on where to take a better look for some xr6t's for a reasonable price?

I've had my s1 ba manual turbo since new ( 5 speed ) , it's now got 120 000 on it the only hassle I've had with it is the damn handbrake loosening up too quick between services !! I've had my fair share of drags at the lights and she knows how to get sideways had the clutch slip once oh and the IRS centre bush replaced but I was towing a bit then . Other than that it's been sweet sure the later models have updated stuff and issues rectified but if you can find one at the right price you can use the extra cash on other areas ?? Just my opinion ........

hi guys sorry im new at this not sure were to post things or see them. can anyone tell me why im not getting good throttle response, when I give it full throttle it doesnt pull it feels like something is holding it back I have a ba xr6t 291rwk thanks

Most likely a boost leak, check the throttle body to crossover hose its prob got a split in it.
