You said you just replaced the CAT , if it was new they should replace it. If it was a second hand one just get a new quality cat. It is not a good idea to run with no CAT. The correct cat or cats will not limit power.

Just look at the guts of the cat, I guarantee its collapsed,. Your car will sound tinny without a cat. Just replace the cat with one that will support the power output you are aiming for.

He said no as it might not be the problem, take it somewhere get it on the hoist and give it a good once over. If it's not the cat then it's a bigger problem. Really could be plugs, coils, really anything.

it was just second hand stock cat, id rather gut the cat then replace it because it will give my car a better tone... ratter why do u say it wont solve the problem?

If you gut the cat and there is no other restrictions to air flow the turbo will overboost, with the factory tune in place it will only allow a certain amount of boost before it cuts it out and the car will have to be restarted again to get it to run correctly.

We recently had a car that had been to several shops trying to fix his missfiring/lack of power problems and it was because the owner had fitted a full turbo back exhaust system to a stock car.

This may allready be the op's problem
