after having a look at the centre.muffler removal thread I decided to go out and get mine done, the guy at exhaust world in nth melb just contnued the twi. pipes through and removed muffler.

first day everything was fine, had a slightly louder and nice tone, now second day and it is struggling to get through gears, cars lost alot of performance, and makes a really funny exhaust noise when driving, asif its struggling to flow, is this a back pressure issue, why doesnt anyone have this problem? the car js completely stock

as you said many have had this done, inc myself with no problems.

something else has definatley happened while the zorst got done.

im not sure how to diagnose what the prob is so ill leave that to the others.

Periklis, when I did mine (old BA) it was perfect and sounded great until about 8mths later (not just two days!). All the issues you have other than shifting, sounded terrible and no power.

Basically, I was told that the rear muffler collapsed due to the fact a centre wasn't there (apparently) . When I took the rear out also as per centre all was back to normal so it clearly was an issue.

Not sure if that is the same as you, but it is possible the rear has collapsed. Cheers.

ps: Turbo cars don't have backpressure issues generally - that's NA

just get under the car and unbolt and remove the rear muffler and take it for a drive that will tell you if the rear muffler has shat itself or not
