This is one of those conversions where your first thought is "why didn't you just buy an XR6T?"

But then I really admire someone who just has a go anyway.

yeh everything is holding up great (: except fords power steering pumps haha been through 4 :S I think pistons do have a groove like you said but unless your going for crazy numbers and tune it, it seems to love it. I was going to buy a turbo but im on my p's so that's a no no :(

haha true I could have but that would come up as a turbo on there computers. mine doesent..

all the cops I have had look over my car dont have a clue...and the toggies hwy patrol dont bother if your not messing around.

Hello im new to the forums  so excuse me but I really want to turbo my 2007 falcon fg  its an ex cab has hi ks and I dont really care for it ? I wanna turbo it for dirty dose. No power couldnt care less just reliable dose haha . Can I use my stock computer and injectors ect. Like has anyone just ran the manifold turbo and cooler. Tia luke

You need a reasonable amount of boost to get a dirty dose out of it... which will probably lunch the stock N/A engine unless a lot of mechanical changes are made, so it's not worth the effort or dollars. Sell it and buy a turbo car, tune it to 10+psi and block off the BOV; done.

So you had a mechanic install all the turbo parts to the stock motor with no prep for boost? I'm thinking of doing this as I just wrecked my BF mk2 xr6t and im buying an FG xt. Or just transplanting all the BF running gear into the FG not sure how doable the transplant is though.
