XR6T T5 box.

I just replaced my gearbox oil for the first time. I was hoping that it was going to quiten down a bit with an oil change, it has slightly reduced some noise, especially in 2nd, which is exceptionaly harsh, 3rd is smooth as is 4th.

I was told by the parts dealer that they take 1.8 litres. I put close to 2.5 litres (probably spilt a bit).

I have read elsewhere that filling the T5 up to 4.85 litres reduces noise considerably (or is that the T56?).

Should I fill it up some more until overflows out of the fill up plug?

p.s oil used was Penrite Gear oil 75.

I have read about Mainlube/Redline quitening boxes down a bit, but I aint forking out that kind of cash every oil change?
