Hey guys,

Just need some advice on where to go from here...

I purchased an item off a member of this site and that item does not work as promised. I have text msgs to confirm this.A reputable tuner has sat down for a few hours trying to diagnose a problem I had on this item with no luck. To diagnose this problem I was charged a few hours labour (as your would expect).

Now my question is, due to the item purchased from this member, is he up for a refund AND paying for my labour costs? If he does not agree to this who do I contact? Australian Federal Police and report a scam or consumer affairs?

Thanks in advance

Topic title edited. You didn't buy it from the site. You bought it from a member.

I would suggest talking to Consumer protection and the small claims tribunal.

If this thread heads in a direction that could be considered slanderous It will be closed.

My advise. Talk to the right people and keep it private. Your chances of a resolution are much better that way

sort it out with the person if you can first. seriously recommend this option. you cant ask for your money back on the labour expense because you paid someone to try and fix it after knowing that it didnt initialy work.

$100 bucks and will get your money back for you :roflmbo: Pazzo's way.

Let me guess, take him for dinner and use the $100 to pay the bill for 2 steaks and a cheap hotel for the night?

Resort to violence dude.

The seller of that item has already offered a refund.

Emosh, although there is a buy/sell at your own risk policy at play, start a support ticket and we'll assist where possible.

There's no point discussing hypotheticals on here without anyone knowing what's actually going on.
