(apparantly they have a special tool to do it) heaps of performance shops and they all just fill to the fill plug.should I add extra oil to the box or is to the fill plug enough?? and if so, where from? I tried removing the reverse switch but couldnt get a spanner to fit on it without fouling on the box??any help would be GREATLY appreciated, and im really sorry if this has been covered before, its just really confusing..Beau. If you remove the wiring from the switch you can get the ring end of a spanner of it and remove it, then I think it was 4.85L that should be put in the box through there, that is above the fill port but below the reverse switch hole.If you only go to the fill port I believe the box is quite noisy as the oil isn't covering enough to quieten it down. And xr8 have different amount to 6t.Hope this helps.

Even some very well known performance shops specializing in those cars.. Any one know how much extra oil I should be putting in through the switch?? I tried getting a 22 or 21mm ring spanner over the switch, but couldn't get it past where the wires themselves go into the switch..

It's the easiest way & will take you literally 20mins to drain + re-fill.
