1600dave, I think from memory it made 260-270ish when it went for epa test, felt slow...lol

Henz when I had to go for the epa test, they didn't check the car for roadworthy, just emissions and I made sure everything was to nizpro stg2 spec,

Cheers Dalesy

I think he's talking about the new vic rules ie the rwc inspector has to take pics of the car when they do a check, that way if vicroads want to check up on them they can ask to see the pics etc. So if they want to be picky a plenum/cooler/piping/anything can be knocked back because its so easy to see in a pic.

I don't think the photo's have to be supplied with the rwc I think its more they need to be avaliable if dicroads does a check up?

Specifically what are they going to be taking photo's of?

Car with plates on it and VIN / Engine numbers?

I've gone for a Nizpro kit (havent had it fitted yet), but at least popping the bonnet with that gear, it's not that obvious to people that aren't familiar with the cars.

Matty, I'm guessing you guys would do roadies, would you pass his car, what would you knock

mick I can tell you wignalls would not pass it at all, they wouldnt pass my xr5t focus when I sold it

because the tint was to dark, they made me rip it off.... we took all the stuff of our trade in that we sold to henz's

because we wouldnt pass it...

when I got done in my old yellow xr6t for ride height,I raised it and the tester gave me a roadie but 2 weeks

later I got a letter from the epa telling me I needed to get it tested for emissions...

it had the nizpro stage 2+ kit on it and to be safe I put a standard xr6t exhaust on it

took it to the tester and the bloke said, ahh you have a nizpro kit, I said yeh why???

he said oh nothing, I have tested some of these before and I have all nizpro's paperwork confirming

that they are epa/adr compliant, and they have all passed no problems, but still have to check it...

the car passed no worries and the guy gave me my certificate and I left...

I think the roadie guy dobbed me in because he was unsure about the nizpro kit and

was asking me all sorts of questions about the plenum and where the battery was located????

I dont think he realy wanted to give me a rodie at all?

your car would most likley pass the emissions test but dosent have the epa/adr paperwork to go with it???

so hope you get a slack roadie guy who has no idea?????

good luck mate!!!

Pretty much as I expected and already knew, but I aimed the question towards Matty based on he is most likely the highest qualified guy here re rwc's to answer the questions, as some of the replys given are not correct. Thanks Christian :beerchug:

I was chatting to a guy who does rwc the other day and from my understanding it would be more specific as in if it fails for an oil leak etc they would photograph a before and after to make sure the change has been done or tyres have been changed etc.

I'm presuming under normal rwc conditions would just be pictures of tyres, brakes maybe one under and one over and they where just kept on file not sent to vicroads unless requested.

Normally you would only get sent for an emissions test by Police when their out with their db meters etc and find changes to the orginal equipment on the vehicle, bigger turbo major noticeable changes etc.

You guys have it so hard in the east. As long as I dont get a yellow sticker I NEVER have to get a roadworthy or take my car over the Pits. You guys cant even use RADAR detectors. Take about a NAZI state.

This is what I heard. Photos don't need to be taken of bay as vin and everything is in the inside of the door. Photos are taken before and after of leaks etc, things that have to be rectified to pass.

Christian your work stripped the plenum so a thrashed force6 didn't look like a thrashed force6.

Mick/ Matty, why does a car have to be EPA/ ADR conpliant to pass a roadworthy. As your nizpro kits are not ADR approved either.
