Hi,

My ZF auto is on its way out, slipping through 3rd and 4th gears, does anybody know roughly how much it would cost to rebuild my ZF trans to handle my 410 rwkw, or up to around 450rwkw? And does anybody know where I could get this done?

I live in Brisbane.

Thanks guys.

monsta torque in W.A. would have to be the front runner at the moment, cheaper than those listed (inc freight) and have built a ZF that has so far handled 650+rwkw

I second for MTE, mines so far seen up & over 650rwkw & still in good nick. About to go & give it a proper hiding at powercruise this week. Service, price, backup & product is second to none

There's a guy on here called F6 Tornado I think who works for ZF. There's a post where he said he's taught two people to rebuid them. MTE & XFT. They are both cheaper than anyone else & have done plenty of cars.

The rebuild basically involves putting more clutch discs in & sometimes a new input shaft if needed. Nizpro has actually had billet input shafts made which are slightly thicker in spots.

My box was built by XFT, before that it was slipping like anything.

HIRO F6 - said this in another thread...

Greg has kindly accepted our offer to fly to Brisbane to be able to educate ourselves and the boys from 6boost on what is done to these boxes.

After driving a customers F6 with a built box done by Rob at Monster Torque, I was gob smacked at how strong and responsive the box felt with over 500rwkw's going through it. I know my stock ZF at over 450rwkw's is ready to let go so the timing couldnt be better.

If anyone in South East QLD is wanting to have this work carried out, feel free to get in contact with us.

Cheers Greg
