Awesome effort mate, gota be happy with that...

I cant wait to get my car finished and get out there, im chasing similar time's in full street trim driven to and from the track....

Yeah - very happy so far, but keen for more. Knowing that car can atleast go 1/2 second quicker, I cant get there soon enough.

The only challenge with wanting to do really quick times driving to/from the track is these engines just seem to hold so much heat, and once they get hot they take ages to cool down, and it robs a heap of power. Plus you end up putting heaps of kms on a big dollar engine. I have no doubt you will be able to do it, having seen some of the gear you have for your car, so I look forward to seeing you get there. Its a mad rush.

Yeah cheer's mate, here's a sneak peak...

cap3s.jpg

cap17t.jpgIt's getting there reasonably fast now but is still work in progress but it's moving along smoothly...

Im guessing I shouldn't require as much power as your car to get me there as I should have a fair weight advantage by a fairly decent margin...

Main objective for it is the street, with a few odd blast's at the track every now and again, and being this light, even off boost the torque of the 4ltr should still make it still move along fairly rapidly...

Very nice Steve. Looks awesome. Good luck with the rest of the build. I look forward to seeing the finished product and seeing your results.

You will have a weight advantage by a far margin for sure! Should be alot of fun on both the street and strip.

Yeah im not after a Strip only car this time, im putting all that aside, This time it's going to be Street before Strip and will be fully engineered although with a stock hotside setup, BUT I will take it out to see what she's capable of, the aim will be 8.50 or better, driven to the track and home on Radial's on E85...

1000fwhp should see me get there pretty easily without leaning on it to hard with plenty of room to spare...

Weight difference is roughly 1500lb lighter than a Falcon so it's going to be a handfull and very fun to drive, cant wait...

Hey Sid,

Cheer's mate, It was either go 9inch, roll cage etc in my XR6T which would render it illegal on the street anyhow and be a waste of such a good car, or return it to stock & dust off the Capri and step back into a Tuff old school car, but this time im taking technology with me...

With Classic look's, Alot Less weight & Technology on my side you cant go wrong...
