Feels like the V8 has more off line punch, which is to be expected.

I had a mate up from Melbourne a couple of years ago and we took a G6E turbo for a test drive at a dealership and had so much fun that we visited three dealerships in the next few days to take them for a spin, scaring the out of the sales reps. He bought one a few months later back in Melbourne. Then I went overseas and drove a little Alfa 159 Turbo Diesel at 180km/h between Florence and Rome and discovered what it was like to have a car that handled well... driving could actually be fun. I realised that I had compromised my daily drive for a car that could fit more crap on drives between Melbourne and Sydney but was otherwise not a lot of fun to drive (great car for what it is, but not if you want an enthusiastic drivers car). Then I started a new job and realised that I could write off most of my car as a tax deduction so I traded in the Territory and the increased payments were more than offset by the tax deduction plus I was driving a new car rather than a 3yr old car that had 85,000kms on it. Now I have a car that is a tonne of fun, has all the luxury items I need (except passenger electric seats but that only pisses off the Mrs) and is pretty good value for money IMO. I have a roof pod that I keep in the shed with the roof racks to use on my interstate trips. I never considered another car as I had driven the car on numerous occasions, my melbourne mate absolutely loved his one and I read every review and the G6E T all over the Holdens and no euro/jap cars gave the same mix of space/power/luxury/pricing that I was looking for. My next car is a GT-P and I will give this car to my Mrs. Edited 14/09/11 01:11 PM by harryh

Best decision ever buying the XR6 T would have been a mistake.
