EVO X MR for me, the way you can throw them into the corners at speed simply defies physics... Would have bought it to if only the rear seat folded down.. They are great bang for buck!! Had 3 Subaru's before my current car and liked them too..

Dre, love the C63 AMG's!! 2 of my mates have them and they are such an entertaining car to drive... :3gears:

I was looking at a VE Bogan special back in 08,look the goods but didn't really excite me but took a GTP for a drive that was nice but the power wasn't there for me.I found the F6 in the back corner of the car yard(it was only traded the day before)took it for a 30km test drive to show the missus, response from her was if you like it get it,went back to the dealer and signed the papers there and then and the rest is history!! :icon_ford:

Sorry but I had a laugh at Dillz's photos.. The XR has the beautiful glint coming off it like someone's teeth in a toothpaste commercial.

Myself I drove a BA XT for 3 years.. Traded it on a Scooby WRX '05.. Had a ton of fun in that car and modding it.. Then started having an equal level of problems (apparently 250wkw WRX's require extensive amounts of labour/pain).. Departed with significant amounts of money. Swore I'd never buy another turbo car. Sold the WRX.. Went out one day looking to buy a ute.. Gave the holdens a go (which is odd for me).. Test drove a second hand '08 FG T.. The rest they say is history! It is also worth noting that I was supposed to be bringing home a dual cab ute.. The missus is still giving me hell about that..

I would probably look at a V8 with a supercharger on it, like a GS if the price was right. Has the V8 sound and plenty of 'round town performance. my mate just picked up an '99 ss with 300wkw a harrop and big brakes and upgraded drive train for $12,000nz. Has plenty of instant low down and turns heads like a Mexican wave :P

Before my first ford turbo I had a deposit down on an R33 GTR. Dont know if I made the right choice lol.

I had the VE SS and it was a great car to own just didnt have that excitement I wanted, but if I had to do it again I would have bought a Golf GTI. I dont think I will ever buy another Aussie built car. They just dont stack up dollar for dollar, not from my experience at least.

For me the car I ended up with ticked all the boxes at the time. I knew it would beat the v8's, would be comfortable on long drives with a few people, and the ZF was what sold me.

At the time though I had been keeping an eye on a demo xr8 ute that the dealers had been steadily dropping the price on. Then one weekend they put ran an add in the paper which had the xr8, an xr6t ute and the sedan, all zf's and all the same price. $40,888 driveaway, needless to say I made a call and knocked off work early monday for a test drive. I was hooked and signed up the next day, they weren't going to give me finance on the apprentice wage so I emtied the bank for a deposit.

so yeah probably would have ended up in an xr8 ute or a dual cab 4x4 trayback

I drove an FG XR8(290kw) a few weeks ago, and it didnt excite me at all. VE Bogan special ute would blow it

off the road.

Ended up buying a 2007 VE GTS. Very happy :yahoo: Falcons are very boring inside compared with Holdens. (that's my opinion)

Still have my XR6T ute for the "buzz" factor. :buttrock:
