Hey guys, looking to buy an xr6t and I checked out one today. It has a few mods done, Full twin 2.5" exhaust, Fuel pump, Front mount (stock piping though), intake, injectors, valve springs. It had a dyno sheet done by herrod motorsports showing 270 rwkw at 14psi. Is this abit low for the mods? or could the standard intercooler piping be holding it back?

They could be throwing more boost at it because of the crossover, still stock cat too?

Normally though 12psi = 300. That boost does seem to high.

No offence but you should really ask your tuner why, maybe he has put a little more boost and alot less timing cause its a BA, also how many kms the engines travelled maybe played a part.

I have a BA on LPG running 10psi and am pulling a fair but more power...

Stock cat... Stock turbo, actuator etc... Upgraded cooler but still stock crossover...

15 PSI here through the stock B series crossover. Replacement Nizpro cold side pipes/cooler, 42lb inj, Manta full 2x2.5" (3.5" split dump) and intank GSS294. Stock turbo/actuator. Pretty flat boost curve:

The stock crossover isn't so much the problem as the length of the associated pipe work causing lag from what I understand.

Also remember auto vs manual, autos show a bit less. Don't even mention the dyno...

The freer flowing the air pathway the less boost required. Get a short intake-cooler-throttle body pathway, a nice plenum and big exhaust and you don't need to jam as much boost in. Costs more though :)

Being herrod there dnyo does read low. Seen plenty 270/290rwk cars beat 300+ cars. As long as it is tuned right that's the main thing. They don't have a happy dyno like some tuners out there.
