......after the Typhoon came the Tempest. Great ground attack aircraft but a b**ch to get off the ground due to excessive torque,a lot of pilots lost because of it. Also found wanting at high altitude but exceptional performance on the deck. The Tempest is best remembered for its ability to down the V1 buzz bombs over London during the latter stages of WW2.

Just to expand on the Ford-Jet Fighter thing, think about the FPV Turbo's name in full.

F6 Typhoon

F-14 Tomcat

F-15 Eagle

FA-18 Hornet

If that was intentional on FPV's behalf, then I consider that to be rather clever! As the FPV Territory is (rumoured?) to be called Hurricane, then that theme is being continued. Perhaps the complete name should be FR6/FA6 Hurricane (Ford RWD/AWD 6 ...)

Maybe FPV could then do an F4 Spitfire (Turbo Focus!)

I have a mate who saw a Lightening strike colored BA. It had a body kit very similar to a GT with the badges all taped up. This was being wheeled into a advertising film studio in Oakleigh Vic.

I reckon numbers and letters, no names.

All the good cars only have a number or a letters followed by numbers in their names. For example BMW Mercedes Audi. FPV so far?

I think the name Typhoon is great. I'm sick of letters and numbers for car names.(even thoough they still had to add F6, but shoulda been F16). Llets have a look at some.

What about this. Typhoons are rates on a scale using F1 (low) to F5 (very severe). F6 Typhoon. You get the drift.
