Just a quick question for you guys that are cranking out sub 1.9 sec 60fters.

How the hell are you doing it? Im getting very frustrated with my car because I can not get lower than 2.1 sec 60ft which is anoyin the sh*t out of n=me to say the least.

I have supposedly 380rwkw and pull 120 - 121 mph at the end of the strip but over the 60ft and first 1/8 mile the thing is a slug.

I have never even had the slightest bit of wheel spin either even when stalling right up as high as it will stall (it has had ZF tune done with raised stall and stuff done that stops the car pulling power out when you floor it at a stand still etc).

I am going to have a crack at data logging the car next time Im out at Willowbank to see whats happening but it is really not going anywhere near as fast as it should.

Any Ideas of what I could be doing wrong?

Dude it's a fine line between bog and spin but right on the middle of that that you get your best 60ft! with 380 rwkws youl should be around 127+MPH what type of dyno was your car run up on?

I managed 1.8 sixty foot with 19 nankangs few years back, but I had to deflate them to a dangerous level, this also made the car unsteady at the top end . I wouldnt encourage this for any one else, side walls are under very high stress when tyres are so deflated and this can be a recipe for disaster imo

Yeh It was tuned on a dyno dynamics dyno I think, Ill have to check.

Most folk that have had cars tuned on this dyno say it reads low but to be honest I think that there are a fair few of those 380 rwkw missing in action because it should be going better than it is.

More tuning to be done I think, the fact that I have no wheel spin AT ALL no matter how hard I try to spool it right up and stall as high as I can get it to it will not launch or spin the tyres.

mate I was spinning into 3rd the other night at the track with my 390 tune so if your 380 aint truning the wheels then it's fair to say that your no where close to 380!

check this run out, you will have to skip through to 2.18 secs and you see just how much wheel spin I was getting and still netting 1.8 .19 60fts and low 11's!

+1...I ran 120, 121mph last time I was down. 2.09sec 60' on KU31s. Dyno Dynamics and ran up 317rwkw. Think the dyno operator might not have been on the ball when he did yours...what mods?
