yeah, I was a bit devo that my Brembo 6 pot rotors are gone in 30k.... was quoted ~$900 for new DBA rotors and pads. asked about softer pads but he commented that they dont last long and arnt worth it... I have no issue changing pads if it saves my rotors a bit.

Aaron, I know u have a far bit of info on the topic, u really dont think the 4000 are much good?

I wanna fix it soon cos brake squeel drives me insane

looking at the 4000 T3's... I REALLY want something that doesnt squeel... mine didnt till about 27k, but have since. rotors are a bit grooved though. Pedders fella thought they where past machining. guessing since they are only 33mm thick, minus 1-2mm wear, -1 for machining, minimum 30mm I guess its about right.

DBA steve, if u come accross this 1, whats the difference between the slotted 4000 and the XS crossdrilled 4000 (apart from the obvious cross drilling)

Watch out for the 4000 drilled and slotteds they rattle like crazy and drive you round the bend. I gave a set away to arronm after only 300klms. Got the slotteds without the drilling and quiet as a baby

Get confirmation from Reg...

DBA 4000's XS w/ ceramic pads and AP fluid dot 5.1 - ull never look back..

Only down side was when cold they are a little interesting... (for at least the first 2 streets, but they all good)...

Lasted me ages, changed at around 30,000 and sold the car a few weeks back with 75,000 on it and only 50% wear on the pads, rotors where still like new!

Reg can confirm if you like Chris and want to check, also - im not one to be easy going on my brakes!

:spoton:

As for the 'rattle' - its the air passing through the holes, put the window up and cant hear a thing, put it down and u will hear it when your along side a barrer on a highway, but other than that - its really nothing... and IMO outperform the SL/SR in heavy use...

I would love to beleive you Smichky, but your a collingwood supporter.... dunno if I could agree with anything u say :) hahahahaha

Naa, im real keen for the T3's, and I was wondering about the ceramic pads, always thought they worked best with a bit of heat. guess I was right. so they are a but weak untill u use them a few times (few streets)? im still pissed my genuines only lasted 30k though... hoping fo a bit more out of the 4000's. disc's on my suby lasted 230k and still looked good... (although not auto and lot less weight, but still)

That's a bit harsh. Mine are still looking good at 48,000 km's. Is this normal for them to wear so quick?

No comment on the C'wood comment, just want to see what happens over the next few weeks...

Yep, few streets and all good... Few might remember the last run I did up Macq Pass - heated the Falkens up, and the Pads and all was done...

Out the drive way, up to the lights, and around the corner and u should be happy...
