No good news unfortunately. Actuator was fine - preload as it should be. In first gear, it doesn't make 10psi until 3400rpm. Like I said, massively laggy. Tune issues have been looked into and nothing significant was found. This including a second opinion from Rob Herrod.

Given the tune is supposedly ok, as is the cat and actuator, the focus will shift to the Turbo :( The initial weird 'two stage' boost thing is starting to come to mind. As I said earlier somewhere, it was like it had a tight spot or something weird. It just didn't spool progressively. Really, it only felt good for a couple of weeks then came back.

I don't understand, neither do the boys at this stage, why it has gone massively flat with just the housing swap. Plenty have run the OEM housing so it's not as if the MTA one is different or anything.

My uneducated opinion at this stage - knowing how the car felt, is that perhaps it does have a tight bearing or something that has become worse.

Some more time will be spent on it tomorrow then probably just have to bring it home and park it up basically. Luckily, I ride my scooter to work (unless raining) so will just have to use the car sparingly until I can save up some more money. Right now, I just wish I'd stayed little turbo. This whole process has caused me a ridiculous amount of heartache :(

damn bud, unlucky. sucks when things just dont work.

1) Torch the MTA

2) buy pt6235 or gtx3582r

3) drive the car down to CMS

4) no more heartache

just my useless 2c

:panda:

Can you get it to boost up in the other gears ? At a lower rpm I mean?

What about if you load it up on the brakes (while moving) can you get more than 10psi below 3000rpm ?

Nah stay in the .5 housing

Keep the response!

But maybe if you get super bored try a different turbo. Anyone got a spare 3540

Im getting frustrated for you!! Seriously #ucked..

Been chasing a few little issure with mine..it can get disheartening for sure..

Have you looked at the boost solenoid? Just a thought..

Maybe your worth trying a different turbo... It seems to be pointing that way..

^^ boost solenoid replaced yesterday mate. If we can conclusively prove it's a problem with the turbo, then I'll put another on it and start the process to get my money back. The GTX3576R is on special still but I'm not sure if I want to go back to a 57mm wheel. $1375 is great bang for buck though.
