See how we go old_mate. To be honest, it was more that I want a bit of headroom left in the turbo. If it makes it, it makes it. The 400lph intank might be getting close to running out of puff by then anyway. I'd certainly be expecting a solid 350 at 15psi. Looking forward to it :)

So, the winner is, MTA750 but in a .50 cover. The 6+6 billet wheel is happy at moderate boost as opposed to the 11 blade which requires 20psi+ to be really efficient. I'll be running around 15psi. MTA have done this combo before and a car I know in SEQ has it making a solid 450rwkw on E85. Basically, it's billet wheeled high flowed GT3540 in that cover.

your right about it loving 20+psi but downside is they are sort of quiet.

at 18psi I made 363 on 98 on Joes dyno (which is a fairly rough one)

it wanted to go more but It started to ping

you'll love it mate because you have the .5 cover you won't lose that much response

modding the 3540 has to be the most underrated way of getting significant power

Old news mate and more efficent turbos are easy cheap to be had now days

your just new at finding out about it :P

There are stories about all turbos - MTA no different. The decision was made a little easier given they're local. Also, as I'm getting a complete unit with everything supplied so no excuses.

I did consider getting a low k donor GT3540 and just putting a billet wheel in it, but none came up at the right money that hadn't done heaps of work.

The 750 in a .5 cover is an each way bet. Yes I've given up some up top but I'd never push the turbo to it's full potential in a .7 cover. Would have been the same for the precision.

Would have liked a 4" front given I've gone turbo side now but no biggie. Saves buying new silicones.

I'm happy that everything will be brand new.

PM if interested in the complete GT3576, xforce 2.5" twin s/s catback with venom bolt up, F6 injectors and a spare FG 1.06 A/R rear housing.

Exhaust sorted. Will be running the new Venom FG 4" s/s dump and 100cpsi cat combo. Have been very fortunate to secure the first production release which will be officially for sale in about a month once George has adequate stock levels. Bolts up to the standard catback or in my case, the xforce 2.5" twin. The xforce flange is actually 3.5" which matches the diameter out of the cat so perfect. I might do a cut and shut of the mid section in 3.5" single later down the track. Will post pics for those keen on this product. George's products are very nicely made so looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.
