Needs a tweak on actuator preload at some point and a bit of E85 down its throat however I might wait until I have done oil pump gears and the ZF and tailshaft before all of that. I'm going to see how that goes. In all honesty, if that makes a solid 330 on 98 I might go that way also as it means no other hardware changes (except actuator) and I'd maybe go that little further and port and flapper it. These things are like drugs and you've got to decide when to step off or keep spending. I'm worried about input shafts and stuff if I go bigger. The little turbo upgrade with E85 would sh*t 350rwkw in which was my goal. Would have mad spool also with a decent bearing pack to support it. Can have rooted core. Really just chasing a rear housing and cover.

This one is of a BA also. Reckons no cracks so will have a look.

Either way I go the valve springs will become an issue at some point. I'd hate to get the call mid tune and be told they 'no likey' the new turbo and have to find the extra coin straight away, or pull the tune right back. So, the plan is to do them now. Slip the ID1000's in with the herrod intank and tickle the 98 tune with maybe an E85 for poo and giggles. The ZF tune will get a tweak as well. Want to put some fart back in and soften the shifts a little. It's not too harsh but want to preserve it as best I can and minimise the chance of shaft failure.
