Over the holidays I've been driving the car a bit more. I've become somewhat obsessed with my brakes given it was the focus, lol. It's one part of the overall package that I wanted to improve. Anyhoo, I've come to the following conclusions.

Bottom line, the two piston fronts and 322mm diameter rotors just don't cut it on our cars. They just have to work too hard. No I don't have the best quality rotors but I honestly don't think it would make jack chit difference if I did. If you go an aggresive pad like the QFM A1RM then yes it will pull up better, but they'll chew the rotors in no time. That's why I removed them. The remsa's are a good compromise but dust - OMG! They're your typical euro pad. Not much metal but heaps of fines hence dust. Do not fit if you have polished/chrome outers on your rims. I'm seriously thinking about putting the stock fronts back in except for powercruise days etc. Frankly, the slightly better 'normal' braking performance just isn't worth the rims needing a clean everytime I drive it.

The braided hose kit was worth the money however. I like a hard pedal and this got rid of some 'squishy'.

Time over I'd just fit the braided hose kit, retain the factors rotors, run a better quality fluid and slightly better pads. Better, do nothing and buy a brembo upgade or similar which is probably what I'll still end up doing.

When you consider my car chops cammed R8 clubbies or similar with ease and you look at the brakes hanging off them, you can see why the factory brakes just don't cut it.

Harrop group buy, lol.

Oh and I don't recommend doing a dyno day in 40+ either. I lost 30rwkw - f6mark lost about 45 I think :O. He still took put 2nd place for the Ford camp and I was the next best Turbo so not too bad. I got done for a trophy by tuned coyote - farrrkk!
