After a few days of driving around since the retune I can honestly say the car is now truly 'performance enhanced'. What that means to me is car's original manners are retained, but improved.

The silky smooth nature in which it runs and delivers power now exceeds what I expected. Little things like the 'shimmy' the idle sometimes had - gone. Cold start - perfect.

I'll be bold enough to say and no disrespect intended, but I think car is now a better overall performance package than an FG F6 which was my original goal. Same brakes, better suspension and power that comes on earlier and stronger. Yes it's still 'taxi spec' but I don't care about that. I wanted to build a blisteringly quick street car that still had nice manners with minimal compromise.

From here it's about reliability. Upgraded balancer, oil pump gears, tail shaft & head studs are all on the to do list.

It's great to be happy with a car hey bomber

^^^ yep, for sure. I knew the combo was a lock for 350 and I had that but it drove like a pig by comparison. To have it silky smooth but crack 500hp was a bonus.

Firstly always loved your thread bomber.

Secondly hats off to Hi Torque for knowing their limits!

Glad you've got the outcome you wanted and no workshop bashing required!
