Drivers rear is ok mate but passenger side bit lower. Whiteline do spring seats which are 6mm thick so I'm going to throw one each side. $27 each. The factory rubber insulators are basically flat (2mm) and probably squashed to near nothing over time. So what ever it works out at will do until maybe some coil overs come up cheap.

Rear shot. That's at about 345 hub to guard. Passenger side is 340. About 3/4 fuel load.

My drivers side is 349 (min for legal in sa) & pas is 350 now I've had the blade bushes replaced with half a tank in it atm

How much difference did the control blade bushes make and did you go OEM or aftermarket?

I had them put in Whiteline Bomber.

Passenger side was flogged out and would 'thump' over bumps while the drivers side only had a rip at the top on the original ford bushes.

To me, the back doesn't float anymore and I have also noticed that I get less wheel spin (especially in 2nd) at WOT

Been doing a bit of research on the upgraded in tanks and have decided to do an upgrade on the reg. Herrod now do a hi-flow unit to match their pump so am going with that. This will allow the correct pressures to be set without trying to tune around it.

Awesome surprise yesterday arvo. After doing some checks it appears the rear welch plug has failed. Really odd given I know the coolant has been kept up to it but things happen. So, out comes the ZF next week - grrr.


To get more out of it than just replacing a $2 plug, I've decided to install Ratter's upgraded flex plate with ARP bolts.

Ok, barge gets its first piggy back ride tomorrow for tranny out and rear welsh plug replacement.

Ratter's upgraded flex plate and ARP bolt combo has arrived also ready to go in, to a least get something meaningful out of this process. I might not get much benefit myself as car and trailer is for sale but a good selling point nonetheless.
