KU39's on all paws. They're such a nice tyre. Quiet and smooth as. Turn in feels really good also. Happy to have matched tyres again.

Car was awesome again at two days of thunder at QR. People don't believe it's the smaller GTX until they see the .60 on the cover :)

So.. going to get the old man to make this for me.

Ordered a genuine 12psi Garrett actuator today from MTQ. Will get it back to Profile and swap it over and going by a mates recent ZF tune Clint did, might get him to do that also.

Then really need to look at the oil pump gears I think as it's starting to worry me now. Been looking into it today and probably will just go with a gear set only unless my pump has issues once taken out. To do the whole relief and billet back plate thingy is overkill for my current application. If I did a built motor then ok, no brainer.

Been liking limo smooth again but...think a little firm up and get rid of the 1-2 clunk etc is worth doing a tune again.

I've actually still got the HTP trans tune in the xcal but don't think I can load that now with Clint's engine tune and after going back to stock it was a bit firm anyway and the downshifts were lethargic.

That's what mine is ---

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure my current tuner can tune a ZF really well but if I didn't have to loose something that was pretty excellent, why should I take the chance on it and that's why I was so thankful that ratter shared the file with my current tuner coz I was so scared that I would loose my trans tune

A properly tuned trans WILL still be smooth Bomber. If I had a quiet exhaust, you wouldn't even know it changes gears (when driving normally) and boy does it change quickly.

Something to think about/talk to tuner about - if you decide to do it - is the auto shift from 2nd to 1st at low speeds.

If for example, you're doing 30kph, the trans in 2nd gear (auto) and you floor it, it will change automatically change down to 1st and sometimes, this can be very annoying.

I also love the 'always use 1st when you take off'.

I can't think of a down side actually :) yes I can........costs more money :(

Edit

I still have a bit of the 1-2 clunk/thump...preasure may be a tad toooooo hard still but don't care

Picked up the Garret 12psi actuator today. Will look to get it swapped over at the end of the 'turbo' season, so couple of months. Looking into the pump gears a bit more also. Might do the full Atomic race deal so brand new pump with the billet back plate etc.

Power coated the plazmaman oil cap and battery tie down to finish of the black look in readiness for the All Ford Day at Willowbank on 19 July. Pretty happy with how the engine bay looks now :)
