Read a few reviews and am leaning towards the Kumho's. Kmart Tyre & Auto stock them and...they say will beat any on-line price from an Aussie retailer. Will put that to the test tomorrow :) Best price I've seen so far for the rears is $250.

I had pt722 (I think step down below 452s) - worst tyre I have ever used!!! It does have 100 treadwear higher rating (think it was like 400 AA A) so grip should be better on the 453s...but the sh*t ones I bought used to slide at 25-30kmh just turning right at a roundabout LOL

They ku39s on the front of mine seem almost as good grip wise as my old goodyear eagle f1 directional 5's ...but no idea how they go on rears

Also depends on price...pretty sure the ku39s are significantly cheaper (got mine cheap from International Tyre Trader - had stock in local depot and 4% AFF discount too lol).

What about hankook rs-3s from taleb tyres? Have specials atm that seem pretty good BFYB

Did a stupid thing today. Noticed the rear had dropped so did a measure. Was sitting at 330 -335mm ish static. Contacted kings and they said with a tow bar they normally run a SSL SL combo not SSL all-round as I have been running. Took it to them and they removed and tested. They had dropped around 5mm from the lower end range so replaced the springs FOC except for labour which was bugger all.

When I picked the car up it did look a bit high but keep in mind it had dropped pretty low. Did a measure when I got home and holly fk 360mm! Had a bit under half a tank so went and filled it. Has come down to like 358ish but looks like a 4wd :( It think from memory stock was 365mm hub to guard.

Looks like poo. Will hit them up for new SSL's tomorrow and I'll pay the labour again. Grrrrr. #coiloversdickhead

375 front and 370 rear was my standard height Bomber.

Now you have brought this up, I (think) I noticed mine sitting on an angle a coupla times in the past few weeks so I might re-measure mine.

I'll pm you tomorrow arvo about startup noises

Checked this morning and like 358 drivers 355 passenger. Really was wanting a max of 350 - 345 once settled with the tow bar. Will have the trailer on it on Sunday so will measure again after that to see if they've come down some more.

When you consider the increments are meant to be 10mm less per stage - SL SSL and SSSL and the H/D tow bar drops it 5mm, how does SL which is meant to give you 350 without a tow pack end up 360? It doesn't add up via their own info. Anyhoo, have emailed them so will go from there. They're a good company so I'm sure will get it right in the end.

King springs mate

King springs.........

When I did the suspension on the pos calais, I had to get left rear replaced twice coz not spec height (or wrong part number printed on it). First spring made car sit 14mm higher than right side and second was 9mm lower.

I'm sure that there quality control has got 'better' buuuuuuuuuuuut.................
