Made the call to R&R the turbo as that's a known timeframe for the boys to do, as opposed to fiddling with the 750 and existing tune more trying to get it right. So more hardware swap but clear direction, against fiddling and fault finding with the unknown.

I haven't come across a tuning horror story concerning either GTX. MTA on the other hand...plenty. Some have absolutely no issues (even at the same tuner) then you have the other group of which unfortunately I'm a member. It's totally random.

Bitter sweet in a way. Liked the idea of having some headroom left in the turbo (hence the selection in the first place) but was only ever chasing a solid 350rwkw. Part of that decision is based around preservation - particularly the ZF. The little GTX will be good for that power with mad bottom end back. If I really want to peddle it, I'll do an E85 tune for track days. That will see 400rwkw.

And 10 second passes too :)

All said boys, I'm more disappointed than anything else. I give up my Saturday's to earn play money for my hobby. The last thing I wanted to do was this upgrade twice, but I'm determined to get the car right. The PT6235 is also appealing but at $1375, the small GTX is outstanding value in my opinion. Really looking forward to getting it fitted next week.

ok, update. So far we're at mid 360's at 17psi. That's pretty much bang on where we were with the 750 with 1psi more. But, I'll have all my lovely bottom end spool back - win!

Bit more tidying tomorrow and wind another 1-2 in and see where we end up. It might give 500hp a shake yet. Getting a little excited :)
