I seriously cannot believe my luck. My second donor FG housing that already had the turbo mod done, had excessive shaft play. So, MTQ have send a new shaft and bush today to make it right. Basically, when you pulled the level down (as the actuator does) it was lifting the flapper off its seat on the opposite side. It was either fix this or pull the Turbo off the car and see what's going on with the MTA flapper etc. That would have resulted in more downtime however so I decided to persevere and get the garrett housing 100%.

Surely I've got to get something going my way shortly. Including the MTA one currently on the car, this will be my third housing, lol.

Ok. New shaft, bush, flapper, set the seat down 20 thou and blend (as flapper was pinching on the top) and a little massage on the side of housing boss so the flapper clears nicely.

Seriously, never buy a s/hand ported housing unless you've had someone take a good look at it irrespective of who supposedly ported it. I would've been better off with a stock housing and starting from scratch. The engineer doing the work believes the shaft wear was a result of the flapper pinching or catching on the side. In other words, the person who originally did it doesn't know sh*t.

Anyway, it will be 100% but I'm $350 lighter in the pocket :(
