Took some Corona's around this arvo and we had a laugh. I felt bad for the extra time they had to spend on something totally not their fault. As they said, it's just standard playing with cars stuff.

The power made at 13psi is really encouraging so that brought a bit of a smile. Another 4 or 5 psi which is where that wheel is meant to be at peak efficiency will be interesting. Not just in outright numbers, but how it makes its power. Certainly, 500hp is achievable. 350rwkw was the pass mark but we'll piss that in. Hopefully, mid next week :)

Got the car back today and took it for a quick run tonight. Even with 330rwkw its got bigger balls now. The ZF tune has been tweaked a bit and is very nice. Car is very smooth. As hoped, the 4" dump an cat combo has actually made the car a bit quieter. Weird.

Only really buried it once and it pulls like a train. Feels only marginally laggier really. Kinda hard to describe but it feels more civilised with this tune than the maxed out little turbo. Yes, some of the little turbo off idle almost zip has gone, but it feels more like a traditional turbo car now. With another 4-5psi boost it will be scary fast I think :) Very happy with the combo.

Had the bonnet resprayed and DJR spoiler painted as well. Fitted that today looks awesome. Batwing gone.

Car hasn't been back for the actuator change boys. Next week. For the kiddies, the new turbo has nice tutu's on back off. Will be interesting when we have proper boost dialled in. Surge will probably kill it haha. Sounds mad at full tilt. The s/s steel dump provides plenty that lovely high pitch whistle we all love.

In we go Tuesday next week.

Given the horror story getting around about MTA at the moment, I hope the housing was done correctly. It's weird currently. One minute, laggy mid pedal then feels like it does a down shift and off it goes. The other, it feels almost as punchy as the little huffer down low. Mashed it the other night and it launched hard and pulled strong all the way into 4th.

It feels like the 7psi actuator throws in the towel sometimes and bleeds boost off and other times it doesn't depending on throttle input.

So fingers crossed it just the poor bugger is struggling because the pre-load is maxed out in an attempt to get boost.

I'll be asking the boys to do plenty of ramp runs and testing at mid load etc to ensure boost control is as it should. Please mod gods - give me a break!
